This massive Cork Plant Fair is about to turn you into a full-on plant person

By Yay Cork April 14, 2026April 12, 2026

Has your TikTok feed slowly turned into plants, plants, and more plants?

This is your sign to lean all the way in.

The annual Spring Plant, Craft & Garden Fair is back this Sunday at Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens — and it’s shaping up to be the kind of wholesome-but-actually-very-cool day out that Cork does best.

Running from 11am to 4pm on April 19th, this outdoor fair is basically the Avengers of Irish plant people assembling in one place.

Expect a curated lineup of specialist nurseries and growers from across the country, bringing everything from colourful spring blooms and hardy perennials to shrubs, trees, alpines, and those rare plants you didn’t know you needed until now.

Whether you’ve got a full-blown garden, a tiny balcony, or just a windowsill, there’s something here for you.

And it’s not just about buying plants (although you will leave with at least one you didn’t plan for). There’ll also be garden accessories, artisan craft stalls, and plenty of food vendors to keep you going while you wander.

For anyone new to the whole gardening thing — or just plant-curious — this is a low-pressure way to get into it. The experts on site are more than happy to chat, give advice, and stop you from accidentally adopting a plant that will absolutely not survive your lifestyle.

Expect good vibes, fresh air, and a crowd that ranges from seasoned gardeners to twenty-somethings figuring out herbs for the first time. It’s giving community, it’s giving spring reset, it’s giving “maybe I can keep something alive.”

Tickets are €5 (plus €3 for parking), available at the door, so you can keep it nice and spontaneous.

Catch it this Sunday, April 19th, from 11am to 4pm at Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens — and don’t be surprised if you leave with a new hobby and a suspicious amount of greenery.
