This Larder Box contains all the secret ingredients of a Cork Michelin-starred chef

Attention, condiment addicts.
If you frequently find yourself more excited about the sauces and sides than you are in your main course, one Cork restaurant has the perfect gift (or self-gift) idea for you.
Rob Krawczyk, head chef at the Michelin-starred Restaurant Chestnut in Ballydehob has put together a thoughtful selection of the ingredients he uses most in his everyday cooking.
The ROOTS Larder Box (€85) is a “curated larder collection of preserves, pickles and ferments, inspired by Rob’s culinary heritage.”
Inside you’ll find a wealth of amazing surprises, including cultured turf-smoked butter, damson and West Cork whiskey preserve, hand-picked nasturtium seed capers from the Chestnut garden and West Cork rosemary salt.
A bottle of charcoal oil will add a smokiness to meats and roasted vegetables, while the handpicked West Cork fennel pollen can be used to season fish.
We can see this box being put to very good use with those Christmas dinner leftovers over the festive season, but you could also use it to incorporate a little bit of Chestnut magic into your lockdown dinners.
It’s also guaranteed to please the foodie in your life on Christmas morning, especially if you’re shopping local this year.
