These beautiful Cork-themed sketchbooks make a lovely last-minute pressie

Nothing says ‘New Year’ like a crisp notebook.
In fact, paper goodies are one of the best gifts you can give to a writer or a reader, and over at The Crawford Art Gallery they’ve enlisted a lovely local company to produce a couple of options for Christmas gifting.
The new special edition Crawford notebooks and sketchbooks are on sale in the Gallery shop on Emmet Place, each one featuring seldom-seen historic imagery.
Designed and created in partnership with Badly Made Books, a Cork-based business run by illustrator and designer Seán O’Sullivan, they are made using a combination of recycled paper, staples, tape, handcraft, and machine efficiency to deliver ‘fresh-baked books.’
“A notebook or sketchpad makes the perfect gift to a loved one or yourself this festive season. Our Crawford notebooks retail at €22.50 each and are on sale now in our bookshop!” said a Gallery spokesperson.
The shop is open today, Thursday from 10am – 8pm, Friday from 10am – 5pm, and Saturday from 11am – 4pm.
