Here’s what the weather looks like for Christmas Eve in Cork this year

We can safely say it won’t be a white Christmas in Cork this year.
Met Éireann has given its predictions for the weather over the coming days and it looks like temperatures will remain pretty mild by day.
While tonight, Thursday, we can expect chilly conditions of -1 to +5 degrees after dark with some frost forming, Friday will be “quite wet” with heavy outbreaks of rain continuing to track northwards across the country with a mix of bright spells and scattered showers following from the south.
Highest temperatures will range from 5 to 11 degrees.
Friday night will see scattered outbreaks of showery rain across Munster and lowest temperatures of 3 to 8 degrees.
By Saturday, Christmas Eve, forecasters say it will be mild and “largely cloudy with scattered showers.
“The showers will remain heaviest along Atlantic coastal counties with the best of the dry intervals towards the east. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees.”
As it stands, the forecast for Christmas Day is largely cloudy with scattered showers with highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees.
