Pilates on the lawn, dear? This outdoor class is as luxe as it gets

If you like your exercise with a side of five-star luxury, this one’s for you.

Two weekly Pilates classes will be held on the lush lawns of the Castlemartyr Resort this summer, every Tuesday evening and Friday morning.

Weather permitting, instructor Sarah Moloney leads her students in a series of strengthening movements, with everything set up outdoors in the sunshine.

“The Barre Pilates class is an amazing way to strengthen, tone and improve flexibility whilst completing a full body cardio workout.” Sarah told us. “The class begins at the barre (chair) isolating and stretching different muscle groups, then moves to the mat for further muscle toning. We finish with stretching and relaxation.”

You can listen to birds singing and water gently lapping against the sides of the ornamental pool, surrounded by ancient woodlands as you complete your workout.

Bliss.

The Barre Pilates class takes place on Tuesday evenings at 8:10pm, with another class starting on Friday mornings at 10:30am from June 28th (both are €10, pay as you go). Spaces are limited and must be booked on 087 777 3885 or through Instagram or Facebook @sarahmoloneypilates.
