It’s a dry start to Tuesday in Cork (but there’s definitely more rain in store)

We’re only two days in but April looks set to be a washout.
After a mixed bag of showers and sunshine over the Easter bank holiday, Met Éireann says it will be largely dry at first today, Tuesday, with sunny spells.
Unfortunately, scattered showers will develop in the afternoon and cloud will increase from the south as the day continues.
“More persistent rain will develop in some southern parts during the evening.” said the forecasters, who note that top temperatures will range from 11 to 13 Celsius.
We can expect clear spells and showers on Tuesday night merging to longer spells of rain at times, with lowest temperatures of 2 to 4 degrees after dark.
Wednesday looks set to bring some sunny spells and scattered showers, but a spell of persistent and locally heavy rain will extend nationwide on Wednesday night and low pressure will dominate through next weekend with continued showers or longer deluges.
In more positive news, it will at least feel a little warmer by Friday.
Sunny spells and scattered showers will turn persistent in the south later in the day but highest temperatures will range from 12 to 15 degrees.
Guess you can dump the winter coat at last but it’s wise to bring a brolly.
