If you love indie magazines and cool design, check out BIND at this Cork gallery

Attention, Cork design lovers, print nerds, and zine kids.
Running throughout 2026, a new programme will transform Cork Printmakers’ artist book library into a rotating showcase of limited-edition books, zines and tactile print works from some of the most exciting contemporary artists working across print and publication design right now.
Cork Printmakers launches BIND, a fresh new exhibition series dedicated entirely to artist books, experimental publishing and beautifully-made printed objects this week.
First up is Ink Drawing Series I by artist Eimearjean McCormack, opening from June 2nd to July 22nd.

The hand-printed and hand-bound publication combines ink drawings, risograph prints and screenprints into a collectable art object that feels somewhere between sketchbook, archive and gallery piece. McCormack’s work explores the artist book as more than just a format — treating it instead as a space for experimentation, process and new ideas to unfold page by page.
More to come
Later in the year, artist Elize de Beer will debut a new publication inspired by her residency in Svalbard, Norway, alongside her grandfather’s Antarctica photography archive.
Meanwhile, October sees Cork Zine Fest curate a special exhibition celebrating years of collaborative DIY publishing, highlighting zine culture not only as an art form, but as a tool for activism, community and creative exchange.
For anyone obsessed with indie magazines, thoughtful design, print culture or the resurgence of physical media, BIND feels perfectly timed.
Cork Printmakers says the initiative aims to celebrate artist books as both intimate personal objects and collaborative social artworks — and in an era of endless scrolling, there’s something especially appealing about slowing down to spend time with something made to last.
The exhibitions will take place at Cork Printmakers Studio Gallery on Wandesford Quay throughout 2026. They open Monday – Thursday 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm.
