Ready to embrace everything lovey dovey this V-Day?

If you’re looking for something a little more meaningful (and a lot less predictable) to do over Valentine’s weekend, there’s a lovely event happening in town this Saturday from noon in The Fifth Quarter (that’s the old Paul Street Shopping Centre for anyone who hasn’t been to town in a while).

A special Valentine’s Day fundraiser is inviting people to pop in, take a moment, and celebrate the people they love most — whether that’s your mum, dad, kids, partner, best friend or whoever shows up for you year-round.

There’ll be a Love Note Tree, where you can leave a message for someone special, and a Selfie Mirror set up so you can snap a photo together and mark the moment. It’s all about small gestures, kind words and a bit of feel-good energy.

On the day, donations will be collected in support of Breakthrough Cancer Research, with every contribution helping to fund life-changing research and bring us closer to more breakthroughs.
