Here’s one for the true coffee fanatics.
You can learn how to roast your own coffee under the guidance of Tony Speight from West Cork Coffee this month.
A special workshop in the beautiful surroundings of Gairdín at Bandon Co-Op Kilbrogan will allow curious coffee fans to experience the process of roasting green coffee beans. Participants will even bring home their very own blend, roasted just the way you like it.
Tony will also discuss sustainable practices for coffee waste, including how used coffee grounds/chaff can be a beneficial, nitrogen-rich organic amendment for plants, improve soil structure, feed earthworms, and act as a slow-release fertiliser.
