It’s hard to know how to help.

But one Cork yoga studio is doing its bit to support children caught in the conflict in Ukraine by hosting a fundraiser this weekend.

Rosie Murphy, a yoga teacher and owner of The Yoga Nook, runs classes from a beautiful geodesic dome at her home in the quiet village of Carrigadrohid.

Rosie has organised a one-hour session of traditional tantra yoga followed by tea and vegan snacks, then restorative yoga and metta meditation on March 6th, 2022.

Yoga for Ukraine will run from 11am-1pm and participants are asked to donate what they can (suggested: €25-€35) to charities working on the ground in the war zone.

“All proceeds will be going to Save the Children and UNICEF Ukraine Crisis Fund, both of which will help the lives of families and children who are being forcibly displaced and fleeing for their safety,” said Rosie.
