Yep, this ‘Gin and Zen’ evening definitely sounds like our kind of meditation sesh

Wellness events are trending hard at the moment.
But if you find it difficult to get excited about plain old meditation, there’s an upcoming event at a Cork distillery that might pique your interest.
Rebel City Distillery, makers of the multi-award-winning Maharani Gin and Ireland’s first commercially-available absinthe, will host a unique ‘Gin & Zen’ gin deconstruction and sound bath event in collaboration with local sound artist, Natasha Bourke, on Sunday, August 28th from 4pm to 6pm.
Guests are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and a pillow for the first event to take place in the space since the distillery’s Visitor Centre was officially launched to the public in June.

Co-founders Robert and Bhagya Barrett have transformed the iconic old Ford Car Factory into a boutique micro-distillery, which will serve as the backdrop for this contemplative, meditative event.
“Highlights of the evening will include a talk on the history of gin and the story of the distillery’s flagship Maharani Irish-Indian craft gin, a gin sampling and flavour deconstruction, and a sound bath performance by local artist, Natasha Bourke,” they told us.
“The evening will conclude with a gin and tonic in the distillery’s inviting Visitor Centre space.”
With a maximum capacity of 30 people, tickets are set to sell out fast so book in pronto, over here.
