We’re in for yet another week of all-over-the-place weather

This weather does not want you to make any plans.
This week’s regional forecast for Munster is, with the best will in the world, an absolute mess – with a mix of sunny spells, showers, thunder, and gust-force winds all occurring within hours of one another.
Today will be a day of occasional sunny spells with a simultaneous risk of thundery showers and spot-flooding, which will most likely affect East Cork. It is expected to brighten up in the afternoon with temperatures hovering around the high teens.
Tomorrow (August 10th) is expected to be dry for most of the day, with “just a few patches of light rain or drizzle about.” Temperatures will maintain their highs of between 17 and 20 degrees, but it will likely be a cloudy day with just a few sunny breaks.
Wednesday is set to begin on a more tumultuous note, with Met Éireann forecasting “outbreaks of, occasionally heavy, rain to push eastwards over the country during the morning and early afternoon.” However, by late morning counties on the Atlantic coast can expect brighter and clearer weather, gradually extending eastwards throughout the day.
As for Thursday, Met Éireann says that there will be strong, blustery breezes to contend with, with both sunny spells and showers — and maximum temperatures of between 17 and 19 degrees.
Friday will continue the theme of sunny spells and showers — with showers mostly impacting the midlands, west and north.
