We’re in for a week of sunshine (but you might want to light the fire tonight)

Spring has officially sprung, but don’t go switching off the heating just yet.
While Met Éireann is predicting a week of warm weather and sunshine, there’s a frosty dip in temperature forecast for tonight, Monday, with lowest temperatures of -1 to plus 2 C with a widespread frost.
Tuesday will be mostly dry with temperatures of up to 14C, but if you’re planning on taking out the lawnmower it’s probably best to hang on until midweek.
Apart from the odd shower it will be dry today with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in light to moderate northwest winds. pic.twitter.com/K852d3ITkK

Wednesday and Thursday look set to bring the best weather we’ve seen in a while, with the national forecaster predicting temperatures of between 15C and 16C on both days.
With some light rain forecast for Friday, the weekend will be a little cooler with highs of 13C, but it should remain dry for most of it.
