Two Cork streets appear on a list of Ireland’s scariest place names

They’re much nicer than they sound.
But a tourist or a visitor might be forgiven for avoiding two Cork streets during the spooky season after they both made the top ten in a Halloween list of Ireland’s scariest street names.
Dark Road in Midleton and Half Moon Street in the City Centre are among the creepier area names in the country.
The two Leeside streets appear alongside Cemetery Road in Sligo, Kill Avenue in Dublin and Goulin in Kerry in a top ten compiled by property rental website Rentola, which also makes for chilling reading these days.
Other blood-curdling additions include Blood Stoney Road in Dublin, Murder Hole Beach in Donegal, and Goresbridge Road in Ballytarsna in Tipperary.
Of course, they’re no Shades of Death Road, Great Meadows, New Jersey, but eerie all the same.
