To St Luke’s, where a new ukulele group is looking for members

This looks like a bit of craic.
If you’ve got a ukulele gathering dust at home (and you can do a passable job of playing it) there’s a new ukulele group looking for members in Cork City.
St Lukes Ukulele Group, L’Ukes (geddit?) is holding its first session on Wednesday, January 29th, 2020 at 8pm at St. Lukes Inn.
There’s an open invitation to “bring your ukulele and meet your neighbours” and the playlist will be shared in advance on the pub’s Facebook page so you can get a bit of practice in beforehand if you’re feeling rusty.
“This class is for those that can already play the ukulele but if you are interested in learning we can put you in touch with a local teacher for a couple of lessons to get you going! It’s easy to pick up!” says Gemma Power, co-owner of St Luke’s Inn.
This is an adults-only event but there’s talk of organising a kids group down the line so follow L’Uke’s on Facebook for updates.
