Fancy taking a workshop with a world-famous clown?

This won’t be for everyone.
If clowns conjure up feelings of magic and intrigue rather than abject horror for you however, there’s a unique event at the Circus Factory that could be right up your street.
‘One woman clown show’ Lucy Hopkins will host her workshop, The Art Of Being An Idiot: a SILENT WORKSHOP at the Centre Park Road hub on Sunday morning, September 30th.
Having trained in corporal mime at the Jacques Lecoq school, Lucy spent another two years studying under the French master clown Philippe Gaulier, before embarking on a career that saw her travel the world as part of various performing acts.
Now she brings her unique talent to Cork.
“Conducted entirely in silence whilst making magnificent and ridiculous physical work, this is a unique opportunity to discover our astonishing capacity for expression and perception.” say Pitch’d Circus Arts Festival, who are staging the show.
Guests at ‘Clowns and Coffee’ will be treated to hot coffee and treats at the 10am show and tickets (€15) are available here.
