There’s just no competition.

An Irish television company has put a call out for local takeaways to take part in a new RTE Two TV show where they battle it out for the national crown.

Any independent chipper, burger joint, Chinese or pizza spot can enter and with Cork’s incredible selection of homegrown eateries, we think we’re a shoe in.

“Are you the people’s favourite takeaway? Do you have what it takes to prove you’re the best? asked Animo TV, the makers of Ireland’s Fittest Family and The Great House Revival.

“We are looking up and down the country for amazing independent takeaways to showcase their cookery skills and compete to be crowned winners at the end of the series.

“All participants must be over 18. You must own an independent takeaway or food van and at least two members of staff must be interested in participating.”

You must be also be available for filming throughout July and August 2022.
