South Indian restaurant Andhra Bhavan will open a Cork spot this autumn

Cork foodies, mark your calendars.
A popular South Indian restaurant known for its crispy dosas, fragrant biryanis and authentic Andhra cuisine has announced plans to open its first Cork location later this year.
Andhra Bhavan, which has built up a loyal following in Dublin and Belfast over the past three years, revealed this week that it will be opening a brand-new restaurant at Finn’s Corner on the Grand Parade in Cork City in September 2026.
The restaurant shared the news on social media, telling followers: “Cork, we’re coming!”
For anyone unfamiliar with Andhra Bhavan, the restaurant specialises in authentic South Indian cuisine, serving everything from paper-thin dosas and fluffy idly to traditional vada, South Indian thalis and Hyderabadi biryanis.

While Indian food is hugely popular across Cork, South Indian cuisine remains relatively underrepresented compared to the more familiar North Indian curries found on many menus — making this a particularly exciting addition to the city’s food scene.
The team behind Andhra Bhavan says it is looking forward to bringing the flavours, traditions and hospitality of Andhra Pradesh to Cork, following successful launches in Dublin and Belfast.
