Cork’s first tubing park is officially open for summer 2022 (and it’s a wild ride)

Nearly 100,000 people visited in 2021.
Now Cork’s only dedicated tubing park is gearing up for a busy summer, with a host of updates for 2022.
The park is the latest addition to Smugglers Cove in Rosscarbery, already home to a mini-golf course, timber maze, driving range and corn maze.
If you’ve never visited, the main attraction is best described as a snow-free ski run, where visitors sit into bright coloured tubes and enjoy a unique ride downhill.

Each of the tracks offers a different experience so you can expect plenty of laughter and screaming as the kids get the thrill of a lifetime on four crazy slides, working up to the biggest track, the tubby jump.
This year’s visitors will enjoy an outdoor dining area, upgraded retail offering and new loos on site.
“Since we opened the tubing park last year we have seen a huge increase in visitor numbers, in 2021 we had over 80,000 visitors which is more than double the 35,132 we had for the whole of the previous year,” said Geoff Wycherley, the owner of Smugglers Cove.

The increase in visitor numbers is also having a positive spin off on the rest of the village with people also going to the Lagoon, the hotel, bars, and restaurants.
“It has given everyone a huge lift in what we call the best village in the world, we have even heard people tell us about driving three or four hours up and down in the one day just to visit Ross.” added Geoff.
Smugglers Cove is open daily until September.
