And with plans underway for the biggest Jazz weekend yet, a Cork hotel is set to host a two-day recruitment fair

The Metropole Hotel in Cork has launched a recruitment drive to fill 40 positions for this year’s Guinness Cork Jazz Festival and beyond.

The two recruitment open days will take place on Wednesday, October 11th and Thursday, October 12th from 1pm to 7pm at the Metropole Hotel.

The hotel, which is home to the Jazz Festival Club, is hiring experienced bar staff, floor staff, cloakroom staff and cleaning attendants. People are asked to bring along their CVs and references to the open days.

Roger Russell, General Manager of the Metropole Hotel said: “The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is one of the highlights of the year for the Metropole Hotel and we are exceptionally busy across the entire weekend. We are looking for people to join our dedicated team members for this exciting weekend and beyond into the Christmas period.”

The hotel’s weekend programme runs from Friday, October 27th to Monday 30th, and includes a range of Irish and international acts. This year festival-goers can also enjoy Jazz Dining Experiences, which includes an evening meal and tickets to the Jazz Festival Club.
