This Cork class will show you how to cook all your Chinese takeaway favourites

Trying to cut down on the takeaways this year?
If more home cooking is on the cards for 2026, you could learn how to whip up all your Chinese takeaway favourite in your very own kitchen this Saturday.
SensAsian Fare’s Chinese Cooking Class is back, and if you love good food, learning new skills, and sharing a meal with great people, this is for you.
Participants in the hands-on class will cook four iconic dishes together:
• Char Siu Pork Bao Bun — Hong Kong–style BBQ pork in fluffy bao
• Singapore Noodles with Chicken & Prawn — a Chinese classic with curry-spiced rice noodles
• Pork Meat Sung served in crisp lettuce cups
• Kung Po Chicken — sweet, sour, savoury, and spicy with Sichuan peppercorn heat
“Once the cooking is done, we’ll sit down together, enjoy everything we’ve made, and share the joy of food and conversation. You’ll also be greeted with snacks and a refreshing drink, so you can cook relaxed and happy.” say the organisers.

The class runs from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday, January 17th at SensAsian Fare, Unit 8B, WestPoint Business Park, Link Road, Ballincollig. The €85 ticket includes all ingredients, tuition and dining.
It may even save you much more on those naughty and expensive takeaway over the winter weekends to come.
