This brand new map will take you ’round Cork’s quirky street art collection

We want to take you to the island…
… and show you all the street art Cork has to offer.
On your next walk of a fine spring night, you can follow a new path and get some culture along with your daily constitutional.
Cork City Council has just launched a new self-guided tour, which maps out the gorgeous murals and electrical box-art that decorate the city centre, running from the Brian Ború Bridge to North Main Street and along the historic quays.
The tour features a selection of art pieces, many created by volunteers from the People’s Republic of Cork (PROC) and Mad About Cork, as well as the colourful work of Alan Hurley, Curtis Hylton, Tom Doig and The Walls Project.

From a tribute to Cork actor Jack Gleeson, who played the detestable King Joffrey in Game of Thrones, to a vibrant mural by London-based artist Curtis Hylton, various old Irish proverbs and Cork slang, it’s an eclectic mix.
With full descriptions and background information for each piece, the map is a wonderful excuse for a walk and a top-notch way to entertain yourself as you get your steps in.
