This BBQ boat trip is essentially a booze cruise for grown-ups

Ahoy there seafood lovers.
As part of the Cork Oyster and Seafood Festival on September 21st, Cronin’s Pub, Crawford & Co and Ocean Escapes have teamed up to take seafood fans on a dream day out on the high seas.
Like all great days out, it starts with a hearty lunch; meeting in Crosshaven at midday, punters will enjoy a Mad Fish Stew prepared by the team at the award-winning Cronin’s Pub, Crosshaven.
From here it’s a short stroll to the Hugh Coveney Pier, where the group will be treated to an oyster shucking demo amongst the fishing boats, overlooking the scenic Owenabue River.
The Ocean Escapes boat will be waiting here to transport the party to the city on a two-hour harbour cruise taking in Camden Fort Meagher, Spike Island, the historic town of Cobh and Blackrock Castle.
The Rising Sons brewery will host a bar onboard, so you can sit back, take in the view and relax with a beer from Cork city’s own microbrewery while musical duo Velvet provide the soulful classics.
Back on dry land, it’s straight to Crawford & Co on Anglesea Street for a sumptuous seafood BBQ of monkfish, mussels and more.
Tickets, including all food, three drinks, sailing and entertainment, are €95 per head here.
