There’s been a Midsummer arrival at Waterfall Alpaca Farm

Her name is Pixie.
If you’re looking for a day trip that’s not weather dependent this summer, there are now two adorable new members of the family to meet at Waterfall Alpaca Farm.
Another baby alpaca was born on June 20th, the day before the longest day of the year, with staff at the Drimoleague tourist attraction naming her ‘Pixie’.
The first new arrival, Dougal (pictured below wearing a spiffing blue coat) was born to mum, Grace, and dad, Coco, in early June.
Located about 80 minutes from Cork City, Waterfall Alpaca Farm in Drimoleague has a log cabin where guests can hang out with alpacas to their heart’s content for €75 a night.
The cottage is nestled among the rolling hills and mountains where the alpaca roam freely, joined by miniature donkeys, giant rabbits, Shetland ponies, sheep and hens.
If you don’t mind braving the cold, there’s a rock pool for swimming in and a waterfall to explore nearby, but the main attraction is taking the alpacas for a walk through the forest.
