There’s a socially-distanced beach clean-up happening at Pilmore this weekend

Ready to kick off 2022 with some good karma?
Clean Coasts is inviting members of the public to join in their planned Beach Clean-Up event this weekend at Pilmore Beach, just outside Youghal.
Pickers and bags will be provided (these will be sanitised beforehand and at the end of the beach clean) but volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves for picking up marine litter from the tranquil stretch of strand.
“Children under the supervision of their parents are welcome, and a parental contact number must be filled in for each child at the time of booking.” said a spokesperson for the event.
“For those who book tickets, we meet at the car park at 9:50am and finish at 11am.”
All participants are asked to ensure to wear suitable clothing and footwear (warm clothes, waterproofs, and sun cream) and to keep a two-metre distance throughout the event, as per the Covid-19 guidelines.
