Stop stressing and book this sauna sesh and yoga in a yurt instead

Life can be full of noise.
Whether it’s the constant drum of responsibility or life’s incessant admin, it’s important to take a break every now and again and focus your attention once more on the things your spirit craves.
Jen Doran of The Nature Wave is hosting an afternoon retreat in the peaceful (and phone reception-less) Lough Hyne this spring, promising an all-around awakening experience.
The day begins with a nourishing group sauna with Donie from West Cork Saunas before the group will strike off into the waters of Lough Hyne for a refreshing dip in the salt lakes.
After that, it’s into the yurt with you for a yin yoga session with a special spring theme to deepen your connection with the season.
Yogis will enjoy calming live music during meditation and Jen will be on hand to share some herbal remedies throughout the practice. The day ends with a brief sharing circle before heading home.
“My heart is so looking forward to more of these afternoons, forever in awe of how ritual helps us access the medicine within each season and helps teach us to move harmoniously through the transitions and waves that change inevitably brings,” said Jen on Instagram.

Returning to Ritual takes place from 3.30pm to 5.30pm on Saturday, March 11th.
You’ll need to bring a bathing suit, a towel, a flask or bottle to fill with water, a yoga mat, blankets, warm clothing, wellies or water-resistant shoes in case the field is wet, a spoon or tiny glass to administer your herbal remedy from, and a mug for herbal tea.
Tickets cost €45 and spaces are very limited. You can book now via Eventbrite here.
