A little of something you love is better than nothing.
And this week, those little somethings are popping up all over the city as some of our favourite cafés and eateries open up the shutters to launch their own comebacks.
Today we got the exciting news that Sonny’s Deli is gearing up to reopen this Thursday from 10am until 3pm.
The much-adored deli, which has been shut due to Covid-19 restrictions since early March, will be taking things slow to start, serving a selection of cake to enjoy with their excellent coffee on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The menu will likely be expanded in the coming weeks (fingers crossed for a banh mi and a salt beef Reuben before summer).

The goodies will be served through a hatch from the premises on the Albert Road so you can rock up for a takeaway treat on your 5k dog walk or stroll.
“Don’t worry if the front door is closed,” says the Sonny’s crew, Rachel and Jack. “…just pop around the side. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces!”
