Sleighbells ring… are you listening? Christmas FM is back on the airwaves from today

Mariah Carey is defrosting as we speak.
And while we’re only just taking down the Halloween decorations and heaving the pumpkins into the brown bin, the countdown to Christmas has begun: Christmas FM has officially returned to the airwaves.

Marking its 14th year as part of the festivities this year, Christmas FM has raised over €2.7 million for a range of charities down through the years.
This year, everyone’s favourite seasonal station is partnering with Barnardos to “Give the Gift of Childhood” and improve the lives of more than 5,000 children living in poverty in Ireland.
The team have set their sights high, aiming to raise €250,000 for the cause between now and the end of December.
“With the help of Christmas FM listeners, we hope to raise money to ensure we can provide nutritious meals to children in our centres, that we can continue to support them in their educational, physical and emotional development and that our specially trained teams can offer targeted therapeutic support to those who need it most.” said Suzanne Connolly, CEO of Barnardos.
“You can help us transform the lives of vulnerable children all across Ireland. Our gift of childhood partnership with Christmas FM, with your support, can make a difference.”
You can tune in on the app, head over to christmasfm.com or ask your smart speaker to ‘START Christmas FM’. The FM station will be launched later this month.
