Love it or loathe it, V-Day is approaching.

If you’re single this year, or you’re just looking for a way to while away another lockdown Sunday night, there’s an intriguing live performance in the offing.

A self-described show-off, Lucy Hopkins is an award-winning clown, director, creative consultant and workshop leader at Cork Circus Factory.

The performer took to social media to invite “all the aching hearts, tired spirits and broken darlings” to a special Valentine’s Day Zoom event happening at 8pm on February 14th, 2021.

It’s cloaked in mystery, but Hopkins describes the evening she has planned as “an interactive, experiential online ceremony of love, a ritual of renewal, an incubator of intention, a meander through the creases and ruts of the twinkling self to light the trembling flame of renewal deep in the beating heart of the present moment because, dear ones, what else is there to do?

“If that chimes your bell, come lend your presence to the endeavour. And it will be what it will be.

“Bring a candle and the means to set it aflame.”
