A Valentine’s Day ‘self-love’ meditation class to lift your mood (and it’s all for charity)

Got plans for Valentine’s Day?

Whether you’re planning a lockdown love-in with your other half or celebrating solo, keep 3pm free for a little ‘me’ time on Sunday, February 14th.

Himalaya Yoga Valley is hosting their monthly Chai, Chat and Meditation online class by donation and all funds raised will go to support Cork Simon Community and Goa Outreach. Over the past eight years, the studio has raised over €79,000 for charity and this Sunday they want to continue to give back to the community.

“Grab a cup of masala chai or herbal tea and explore the deeper potential of gratitude.” say the organisers.

“The class, with international guest teacher Viriam Kaur, will explore the attitude of gratitude – seeing how you can practice gratitude as a form of self-love, which you will put into practice through meditation and mantra.”

Viriam has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2003 and has trained in several breathwork modalities, including Ayurveda, yoga nidra, mindfulness and restorative yoga.

Sounds like the perfect way to relax on a Sunday, while also doing some good for the community from the comfort of your living room.

Grab your yoga mat and book your place here.
