Shamrock flavour mayonnaise is a thing (and it’s absolutely delicious)

This is our kind of Paddy’s Day treat.
Heinz Ireland has created a limited edition shamrock flavour mayonnaise and they’re as rare as a pot ‘o’gold under a rainbow.
Just 75 jars of the patriotic condiment are available across the country, but we got our hands on one ahead of March 17th and we can confirm: it’s utterly delicious.
“When St. Patrick’s Day 2020 celebrations were cancelled all over the country last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we set about thinking how we could make St. Patrick’s Day 2021 one to remember,” said David Adams, Head of Heinz Ireland.

“We’re dying to hear what people think and what people serve it with. Who knows? Maybe it’ll be in stores for 2022 celebrations!”
The shamrock has been carefully cultivated in Ballinaskelligs, Co Kerry by shamrock-grower James O’Leary of Irish Plants International, who supplies the Taoiseach with the symbolic bowl of shamrock that is given to the President in the White House as a symbol of the countries’ friendship every St. Patrick’s Day.
Bursting to dip a chip into a jar of shamrock mayo? Just 75 jars exist across the country.
To get your hands on one and make your family, friends and neighbours green with envy, visit @heinzIrl before St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th on Facebook or Instagram to find out more.
