Lewis Barfoot’s empowering workshop will give you that badass Saint Brigid energy

It’s a worthy way to spend the next bank holiday.
Former medical doctor, singer, and musician Dr Lewis Barfoot will lead a special workshop honouring Ireland’s only matron saint on Monday, February 6th, 2023.
Running from 1pm until 5pm at Collective Cork in the Triskel on Tobin Street, The Goddess Brigid workshop is now in its fourth year.
The programme for the day draws upon the wisdom and strength of the goddess of healing, fertility, poetry and the waterways to support personal growth.
“Be that to help you release blocked energy and trapped emotions, with the fiery arrow clarity of Brigid it can help you find power in your body, voice, and life’s purpose, it can help you achieve your goals, speak your truth and let go of habits that no longer serve you.” says Barfoot.
“It will include guided vocal and physical warm-ups, movement medicine, song, ritual, poetry and a keening ceremony in which you will learn to use your voices to express grief in a safe and sacred circle.
“This is a powerful opportunity to release This is an invitation to release blocked energy, especially in your throat and heart chakras.”
There will be plenty of space for journaling, time to share, and reflect in confidence with a circle of supportive souls and techniques taught to calm the nervous system.
That all sounds like hungry work so there will also be a tea break with teas and wholesome snacks provided.
The workshop is open to adults of all genders (over 18s or overs 16s if accompanied by an 18+ guardian). Tickets are €80 at embodiedarchetypes.com.
