INSIDE: Dublin’s prettiest boutique hotel (we’re already planning a trip)

This is the stuff that dream weekend getaways are made of.
Dublin’s newest boutique hotel is now open in a redbrick Victorian listed building, nestled in Harcourt Terrace – just a short hop from Stephen’s Green.
The Wilder Townhouse, originally built in 1839, now boasts 42 unique bedrooms, ranging in size from cosy Shoebox rooms up to spacious Suites.
A sister hotel of Cork’s own Montenotte, it’s the latest project to be unveiled by husband and wife team Frankie and Josephine Whelehan.
And honestly; the decor is absolutely gorgeous.
Every bedroom in The Wilder Townhouse is fitted with marble mosaic bathrooms with walk-in rainforest showers and fully loaded with Replica by Maison Margiela Paris products.
The art-deco inspired bar ‘The Gin and Tea Rooms’ contains elegant French glass lights, smoked parquet floor and velvet sofas.
Instagram gold.
And the five-star treatment doesn’t end there.
Dining in the Garden Room is for residents only and guests’ à la carte cooked breakfast is created by head chef Glen Beskhurst.
While the Shoebox and the Small and Popular bedrooms are simple and compact and ideal for short city breaks, business trips or solo excursions, the four stunning suites at The Wilder Townhouse are as special as you can find in our capital city.
Named after famous governesses from history, there’s the Lady Jane Suite, the Miss Wade Suite, the Miss Sharp Suite and the Lady Audley.
Each suite is unique in design and layout, with original floor-to-ceiling French-polished walnut wall panelling and marble fireplace, velvet and vintage silk furniture and a queen size bed.
Planning a romantic getaway or a girls weekend in Dublin?
