Get your glad rags on; this is the swanky dinner event of the season

Brought to you by The Metropole Hotel.
We love a fancy formal dinner – especially when it takes place in an historic location.
But throw in a hefty helping of celebrity chef star power and a mouthwatering menu and you’ve got yourself a hot ticket.
Foodies will be dressing to kill for the black-tie RNLI Gala Charity Dinner at Cork’s Metropole Hotel on September 22nd.
A different chef will prepare each course, with Patrick McMurray flying in from Toronto and Simon Lamont representing the seafood mecca Wrights of London.
Bryan McCarthy will be flying the flag for Greenes, Martin O’Mahony for the Cork International Hotel and TV3 chef Rachid Zaouia will also be donning an apron in the kitchen.
Organised as part of The Cork Oyster & Seafood Festival, each plate will be exquisitely matched with a wine pairing, with welcome bubbles, paired wines and food included in the €65 ticket.
And don’t worry if you’re not a seafood fan, there are delicious options planned for all tastes.
The evening begins with a drinks reception in the lobby at 7pm, where you can rub shoulders with food heroes such as celeb chef Derry Clarke from L’Ecrivain in Dublin.
The event will be ably hosted by food critic and MC Joe McNamee in the grand Ballroom and there’ll be ample opportunity to dance off those extra calories with The Roaring Forties afterwards – all while helping to raise vital funds to help the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) operate their lifesaving service.

We’ve already sent the tux to the dry cleaners.
