They make them fresh daily.
Now Umi Falafel on Academy Street is marking International Falafel Day (June 12th) by giving away up to 1000 make-at-home falafel recipe kits for free in Deliveroo orders so you can try making Ireland’s favourite vegetarian dish at home.
If you’ve ever thought about rolling some fresh falafel in the kitchen but didn’t know where to start, now’s your chance. The free recipe kits include the key dry ingredients to make delicious falafel at home – dry chickpeas and Umi Falafel’s famous spice mix.
All customers need to do is add a few fresh ingredients (one small white onion, one clove of garlic, fresh parsley and coriander) to make 20 falafel balls.
You can add them to a wrap, pita or flatbread with some fresh salad, tahini or hummus, or throw them into a mixed salad with cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers. They’re delicious on their own too for a high-protein snack.
Ahmed from UmiFalafel said: “Falafel is what we do every day, so as you can imagine we are experts at it! As it’s International Falafel Day we’re excited to share some of our secrets for making the best falafel with our loyal customers so they can have a go at home – the secret spice mix is ours to keep though!”
The free recipe kits are available in all Umi Falafel orders via Deliveroo, or in orders collected from the Academy Street restaurant.
