Meb’s Veg is planning a tasty lunchtime pop-up in the city this weekend

If you’ve never tried a Meb’s bánh mì, this is your chance.
Meadhbh Halton, the chef behind the much-loved Douglas Market staple is kicking off a year of exciting events in new spaces with a pop-up right in the middle of town.
Meb’s will be taking over the Sonflour kitchen on Castle Street for one day only on Sunday, February 8th, serving her famous toasted Seeds Bakery baguette (€14) stuffed with tofu, duk or a mix of both, xo mayo, pickled carrots and mooli, birdseye chilli, cucumber and coriander.

There will also be a gluten-free version and a portion of fried pickles in crispy batter served with xo mayo as well as some sweet desserts (hello lemon glazed sea salt doughnuts).
You can wash it all down with a homemade cherry soda.
Keep an eye on Meadhbh’s socials for updates on more newness coming our way in 2026, including a supper club, cooking classes and private catering options.
