This foodie yoga retreat is the ultimate in self-care

Have you multi-tasked your way to burnout?
If you’re reading this while WhatsApping the school mums, inhaling crisps and mulling over an email you need to send to your boss/sister/plumber/accountant, then the answer is probably yes.
It’s not always easy to recognise, but constant low-level stress can be damaging to the body and the mind.
Taking a step back from the daily grind can be truly life changing and an upcoming series of yoga and food retreats offers the perfect opportunity to give yourself a break.
Firstly, imagine waking up to this…
Run by Cork’s own yoga guru Jean Noonan of Anam Solas Yoga, there are five retreats planned for 2018, all held in venues that are carefully chosen to provide a breathtakingly beautiful setting for a weekend of real self care.
They’re all an easy spin from Cork too…
And don’t worry if you’re not a gym bunny, everyone is welcome and encouraged to find their own pace. In fact, Jean’s programme is as focused on showing guests how to rest and recuperate as it is on showing them how to move their bodies.
The menu is an abundance of delicious sattvic food, an Ayurvedic diet focused on pure, clean, energy-rich dishes chosen to nourish the mind and the body. Guests will also learn how to prepare sattvic food, meaning you can continue your transformation at home when the retreat is over.
Outside of yoga, guests can fill their days with a variety of zen-inducing activities, from candle-lit chats, massages and treatments and walking the private beach to visiting the outdoor sauna.
The all-inclusive weekend retreats cost from €400 (€375 if you’re a returning guest). The price includes shared accommodation, all food and drinks, a food workshop and discussion, evening relaxation and ceremony and full use of the facilities. All food will be local, organic and vegetarian. For more information text 087 9915247 or email anamsolasyoga@gmail.com.
