Be careful out there.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow fog warning for the whole of Munster and Leinster.

The warning will remain in effect until midday today (Thursday, January 13th), though Met Éireann have specifically warned that the fog may persist beyond the parameters of the warning. Drivers in particular should be especially careful.

The warning has been in place since late yesterday evening, and advises: “Fog and freezing fog will develop this evening, becoming dense in parts of Munster and Leinster overnight leading to impaired visibility and hazardous driving conditions.

“On Thursday fog will be slow to lift and may linger locally beyond the warning period.” There will also be patches of frost throughout the country.
