Here’s some good news for the caffeine-dependent.
One of the most popular pop-up coffee spots in Douglas is back in business after a series of unfortunate events shuttered their retro truck before Christmas.
Fadó, a mobile espresso bar that operates from a 1976 former Dutch creperie van parked in the corner of the car park at St. Patrick’s Woollen Mills, has been closed since November 20th.
“First the van needed some TLC and had to spend a bit of time in the garage getting serviced.” owner, Ian Whelan, told us.

“Then when it was finally ready for action again pre-Christmas, like many other businesses Covid struck the staff and we had to stay closed for an extended period of time.”
Happily, the hatch is open again and if you’d like to show your support and pick up a rather good mocha as part of the deal, Fadó open Wednesday – Saturday from 9am – 3pm.
