Elevate your next workout with this Cork rooftop barre class

It’s not just a workout; it’s a workout with a view.
Certified barre instructor Emma Barry-Murphy is bringing her sculpting magic to new heights, offering a ballet-inspired fitness class on the rooftop of the rather stun Penrose Dock.
Happening on November 25th at 10.45am (the 9.30am class is already sold out), Winter Sculpt: Barre & Brunch will feature a full-body sculpting barre class — suitable to all levels — along with a scrummy brunch from Naturally Nourished, also in the building.
Emma, the maestro of barre, is set to lead the class, drawing inspiration from ballet, Pilates, dance, yoga, and strength training. Brace yourself for a symphony of pliés, tendus, battements, lunges, squats, and static stretches that will redefine your fitness experience.
The class features little lifts, little lowers, pulses, and isometric holds, creating an intense workout that not only sculpts your body but also engages your mind.

Emma highlights the multifaceted benefits of barre: integration into various fitness activities, a low-impact yet high-intensity workout, mindful movement, improved posture, and increased flexibility.
“Although you don’t have to be flexible to do barre, with the emphasis on mobility and stretching you will definitely notice that you are increasing your depth and range of motion,” she promises.
After the exhilarating rooftop workout, participants will then descend to the chic health food café Naturally Nourished for a well-deserved sit-down brunch and a steaming hot beverage.
And if you are worried about the unpredictable Cork weather, fear not! If it’s rainy, the class will move indoors without compromising the breathtaking views of Cork City.
Tickets are priced at €44 and can be nabbed here.
