Get some fresh air and good vibes at this weekend Quarry Clean-Up

Got a bit of time to spare for a good cause?
Cork Nature Network is hosting a cleanup gig at Beaumont Quarry on Saturday, November 25th and they’re on the lookout for some eco-warriors to lend a hand from 11am to 1pm.
According to the group’s spokesperson, tackling the litter and giving the bramble a trim is the perfect way to spend a winter’s morning.
It’s a win-win – not only does it keep the place spick and span, but it also gives a boost to the unique local flora, providing a cosy home for all sorts of critters.
They’re after some eager beavers to join the cleanup crew at the abandoned limestone quarry near Pairc Uí Rinn and Temple Hill.
It’s a chance to get some fresh air, burn a few calories, and who knows, you might even make a new pal or two.
So, if you’re up for it and have an hour or two to spare, mark your calendar and head over to the green area near the Beaumont Quarry sign on Beaumont Drive. They’ve got all the tools of the trade covered – rakes, gloves, loppers, bin bags, and litter pickers.
Plus, they’re throwing in some well-deserved tea and coffee with biscuits.
