Clancy’s new roof terrace is open, here’s the view from above

It’s a welcome addition to the city’s alfresco bar scene.
Clancy’s Cork reopened on Princes Street last week, offering customers their first look at a new rooftop bar and dining area completed during the lockdown.
The brand new outdoor area, nestled between the skylines of Princes Street and Marlboro Street, features a terracotta cocktail bar, a new café area, and a canopy for the colder, wetter days and nights.
This summer you can also take a table on the street outside for a Heart of Cork cocktail; Absolut Citron, Killahora Orchards apple ice wine, Chambord, citric acid, Healy’s Honey manuka honey and cranberry juice.
Yum.
What to expect on your first visit
In recent weeks, owner Paul Montgomery has given the venue a post-Covid-19 remodel to meet physical distancing requirements. On arrival, patrons will be asked to undertake a digital temperature check that takes less than two seconds.
New booths and seating areas have been installed to maintain distance between groups.
Table service has also been introduced throughout the venue to prevent queuing at the bar and comply with Government guidelines.
