Christmas Day Swim: This is the best time to take the plunge at Myrtleville

This’ll put hairs on your chest.
There’s nothing like a bracing plunge into the icy ocean to kick off the festivities on Christmas Day.
If you’re ready to hit the water for a good cause this year, the Danny Crowley Christmas Swim takes place in Myrtleville on December 25th, 2018 – and everyone’s invited to join in the fun.
Togs on, the group will dive in between 10.30am and 11.30am on Christmas morning.
The charity fundraiser, arranged in memory of Danny Crowley, a Carrigaline teenager who lost his battle with leukaemia in 2013, has been running for the last five years in aid of the Mercy Hospital Children’s Leukaemia Unit.
Sponsor cards and t-shirts can be collected from Deborah in Mano Mano Barbers, Main Street Carrigaline or by contacting Jennifer Kelleher on the group’s Facebook page here. Collection buckets will be available on the day too for last minute donations.
