Castlemartyr Resort’s luxe residences have been refurbished for summer stays

By Yay Cork May 11, 2026May 10, 2026

Planning a group getaway this summer?

If your dream Irish trip involves sprawling countryside views, lazy BBQ evenings, and a luxury hotel doing most of the heavy lifting, then Castlemartyr Resort just dropped some very good news.

The five-star Cork escape has unveiled newly refurbished two and three-bedroom holiday residences ahead of summer 2026.

Set across the resort’s massive 220-acre 17th-century estate, the upgraded houses have been refreshed with redesigned interiors, new outdoor decking, upgraded landscaping, and private BBQ areas built for long summer evenings (weather permitting — this is still Ireland, after all).

The idea here is flexibility without sacrificing luxury. Guests can cook for themselves in fully equipped kitchens, stock up the fridge, and pretend they live in a stately Cork estate for a week — or they can fully lean into resort life with breakfast at Kirby’s Clubhouse and dinner at Canopy Restaurant or the two Michelin-starred Terre whenever cooking starts to feel a bit too ambitious.

There are two residence styles to choose from, starting at €700 per night.

The Orchard Residences are tucked into woodland surrounds with quick access to walking trails and nature-filled views, while the Gate House Residences sit closer to the estate entrance for guests who like a little extra convenience with their countryside retreat.

And unlike a lot of luxury stays that quietly side-eye children and dogs, these residences are intentionally geared toward families, groups, golfing weekends, and pet-friendly getaways.

Translation: yes, the dog can come too.

According to General Manager Brendan Comerford, the resort wanted to create an even more comfortable “home-from-home” experience while still giving guests access to all the perks of a five-star hotel.

Each residence also comes stocked with hampers of essentials and Nespresso machines, with outdoor dining setups ready for long summer evenings in the Cork countryside.

Now, who to invite along for a shared staycation?
