Bottomless Yoga is a thing and there’s a class in Cork this weekend

Bottoms up!
The mischievous crew at Gaia on 98 Street has announced a new weekly event combining self-care and self-indulgence.
Bottomless Yoga invites yogis to enjoy an hour of soothing stretches before dabbling in the spiritually- uplifting practice of sipping prosecco for the rest of the afternoon from €30 all-in, with the option to extend the offer even further to include more bubbles and nibbles.
Namaste indeed.

While we’re all about it here at Yay HQ, not everyone was on board with the idea of combining booze with the spiritual practice: “Yoga is a sacred [sic] spiritual practice for many religions including Hinduism. Slap in the face to its roots and real meaning.” one follower commented on Instagram.
Gaia assured their fans that the event is open to everyone- drinkers or non-drinkers: “As spiritually aware humans, we strive to live our lives with balance, which includes fun… yin and yang. Should one decide to attend our yoga classes and not partake in drinking, then we will welcome one, as openly as the people who decide to drink after the practise of yoga.”
Fair enough then.
You can choose from an hour of yoga and an hour of bubbles for €30; an hour of yoga and two hours of bubbles plus nibble for €40; or an hour of yoga plus three hours of bubbles plus nibbles for €50. Book online through Eventbrite or simply walk in on the day.
Bottomless Yoga starts in Gaia, 98 Street from Saturday, April 30th at 12pm.
