Bored of begonias?
If you’re on the lookout for something truly unique to add to your garden this summer, one of the most intriguing events in the gardener’s calendar is coming to Cork.
The Rare and Special Plant Fair, in association with Bord Bia, has taken place annually at various historic homes and gardens throughout Ireland.
This year the historic Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens will play host on Sunday, May 8th, 2022.

Up to 40 specialist nurseries from all over Ireland will be on-site on the day to showcase beautiful, unusual, and hard-to-find varieties of plants for sale.
The best bit is that you can ask the experts for advice on keeping your purchases alive too.
Afterward, you can avail of the free Plant Creche and stroll the Victorian working gardens and arboretum before lunch and coffee on the gorgeous grounds.
Admission is €5 on the day (the stalls will open at 11am until 5pm) and no pre-booking is necessary. For more details, check out the event listing here.
