Be a sound human and join the Douglas Street Spring Clean

Chances are you frequent the area for its top notch pubs and hipster cafes.
This weekend there’s an opportunity to earn some karmic brownie points and give back to Douglas Street by lending a hand during the annual Douglas Street Spring Clean.
The Douglas Street Business Association is appealing for volunteers to join them for a fun afternoon of planting and tidying on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 as they get the historical area ready for the summer season.
The group meets at Cork Flower Studio at 1pm and tea, coffee and snacks will be provided to fuel the afternoon’s work (bring your own cup) until 5pm.
Greenspaces will be planting pollinators, herbs and fruit in St John’s Mews from 11am.
One of the longest-settled parts of Cork outside the walls of the old city, Douglas Street is now home to Fionnbarra, Coughlan’s and Nana’s pubs as well as the Good Day Deli at Nano Nagle Place so there’s plenty of choice if you fancy a congratulatory pint or a late lunch afterwards.
