A local yogi is inviting everyone to join an online mantra gathering for peace

Feeling helpless?
As war rages around the world, a Cork yoga teacher is inviting people to come together online this weekend for a simple but powerful act of collective intention.
Jeanie Jyanti of Alchemy School of Yoga will host a virtual mantra gathering for peace on the evening of March 16th at 9pm Irish time, welcoming participants from anywhere in the world to join.
The online event will centre around 108 rounds of a peace mantra, a traditional meditative chanting practice often used in yoga and spiritual traditions to focus the mind and create a sense of calm and connection.
According to Jean, the idea came from a feeling many people can relate to right now — watching global events unfold and feeling unsure how to help.
Rather than feeling powerless, the session aims to give people a chance to pause, reflect and direct positive energy towards those who need it most, all from the comfort of their own homes.

Participants don’t need any prior experience with chanting or meditation to take part. The mantra will be shared with attendees in advance so they can become familiar with it before the gathering begins.
All that’s required is a quiet space, a bit of time and a willingness to participate.
For anyone unable to join the session live, a recording will also be sent afterwards, meaning people can still take part in their own time.
