Tired of swiping? There’s a speed dating night happening in Cork tonight

Feeling a bit burned out by dating apps?
A Cork event happening tonight is offering a more old-school way to meet someone — with a twist.
A speed dating and games night is taking place at Crawford & Co on Anglesea Street, Cork City tonight, Friday, March 13th, giving singles the chance to meet potential matches face-to-face in a relaxed social setting.
The event is the second organised by the team after a successful first night held at O’Sho on Valentine’s Day.

Designed for people aged 25 to 35, the evening mixes classic speed dating with social games, music and a few added extras to keep things lively. Hosts Thomas McCarthy and Niall O’Connor will guide guests through the evening, while DJ Ron Mitchel provides the soundtrack.
Tickets cost €12.50 and include a complimentary drink — either a pint or a glass of Prosecco — which organisers say helps break the ice before the dating rounds begin.
As an added bonus, everyone who attends will also be entered into a raffle to win a night for two at Ballinadee Bus, a unique countryside stay located around half an hour from Cork city.
Hey, if sparks don’t fly, at least there’ll be music, a drink, and maybe even a chance to win a night away.
