A coastal pub is throwing a Wild West party (and it’s all for a great cause)

Dust off your stetson.
There’s a Wild West bash about to happen in Ballycotton and it’s all in aid of an excellent cause.
The Blackbird Bar is hosting a themed shindig on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 (that’s the new bank holiday weekend, FYI) as part of a fundraiser for the Ballycotton RNLI Lifeboat and volunteer crew.
The evening will include a drinks reception and a complimentary cocktail or beer to get everyone limbered up and a hog roast dinner to fuel a night of dancing.
On that note, there’ll be live country music from Irish singer Ryan Phoenix so you can holler along to your heart’s content before hitting the dancefloor with BB Disco.
Expect spot prizes aplenty and a raffle on the night too.

“It costs approximately €250,000 per year to keep a lifeboat in Ballycotton, €1,667 to train one volunteer crew member, and €1,786 to kit out a crew member; funds raised at the event will ensure that the crew has the necessary equipment and training to keep our coastline safe.” say the organisers.
“With your help, we hope that our ‘Wild West’ shindig can raise €10,000 – that’s three new fully trained and equipped life-saving volunteer crew.”
The fun begins at 7.30pm and you can book your tickets (€35) now here.
